NFRC seeking experienced Board of Directors

Naomi’s Family Resource Centre, located in Winchester, Ontario in the township of North Dundas opened on February 2, 1987 providing emergency shelter, safety and support to abused women with or without children.
The services are funded primarily by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services while relying on donations from the surrounding communities. Naomi’s Family Resource Centre is incorporated as a non-profit organization. A Board of Directors composed of volunteers from various walks of life governs the Centre. This board is currently seeking new members.
Naomi’s Family Resource Centre is looking for individuals who support a feminist governance model to serve on its board.
Specific qualifications desired:
- Financial Management
- Human Resources Management
- Strategic Planning
- Legal (Family, Criminal, Social Services)
- IT Support
- Community Engagement,Social Services
- Term: 2 years
- Board meeting: one evening per month (3-4 Hours).
- Task force, short-term committee work, and event attendance may be occasionally required
