Naomi’s Family Resource Centre recognizes that although both women and men can be victims of domestic violence, the overwhelming majority of abusers are men abusing women. Therefore, throughout this website the abuser is referred to as male yet can be interchanged. This in no way is to minimize the significant trauma a victim experiences under the control of a male or female abuser. It is to simplify.
